Men the Sole Providers for
the Family
In that time men usually financially provided for their family. Women were expected to be homemakers. It was familiar for married women to care for the house, and birth children. After men were married they were obligated to provide for the family, so it was unnecessary for their wives’ to get a job. Before World War 1, women felt they had over themselves so they felt they couldn’t fight back for their rights. There was a lack of opportunities for women to get jobs. As men were still unconvinced on the ability being able to handle or complete a job. Also, there was the fact that wealthy ladies had no need to get a job. They already lived a life filled with luxuries. In the end it was unheard of for the women to get a job.
