Technological Influence
Technology influenced many different countries in how and what they produced. In Britain --the origin of the second industrial revolution—the production of steel was cheap and many steam ships were made. Belgium had many railways running through, connected many countries and was the main railway hub. Many countries used its railways to transport goods. Belgium also had factories and mines in neighbouring countries. The United States had the most economic growth during the second industrial revolution. It had a plentiful amount of factories, railroads, coal mines, etc. The United States also had the first continental railway. Germany was at the top at the chemical industry during the second industrial revolution with the production of synthetic dyes. This lead to the development of drugs, photographic film, etc. In Canada, the abundant forests provided plenty of potash for the production of fertilizer. All this technological and economic influence eventually led to a greater global economy.
